Another What’s It

    In the spirit of recent post I have another What’s It. This is something I inherited from my grandfather’s what’s it table. 

    I do not have an answer. 

    It appears to be oak but I’m not sure of that either.

    Is that nailed together in the center?  I was thinking that it could be sticks used to make inside measurements, but not if it is connected

    The pieces are nailed together with two nails and do not move.  That is what the second phot was supposed to show. The pointed piece is also slightly off center relative to the square ended piece.

    The shaped tips are reminiscent of drum stick tips...
