I am in need of a piece of laminate 12" x 40".  I am making a sled to be used in my thickness planer to allow me to plane pieces thinner than 1/4". If you have a remnant hanging around from a previous project and are willing to part with it please get in touch with me.

I use part of a melamine shelf from HD or Lowes. It works fine as is but I suspect a little wax would make it even better.

I use melamine boards for my planer and for my tablesaw outfeed table. I periodically buff them with paste furniture wax and after doing so the wood just slides across.
