Tom Shirley kicks off the new EMGW membership year with a woodworking piece that he completed last spring.
Tom was contacted by the administration of the Alden House Museum to build a replica model of the historic house of John and Priscilla Alden in Duxbury, MA.
The model is on display as part of an exhibit at the museum. Apart from the woodworking aspects, Tom's article describes how the measurements and overall design of the original house were made and how he approached building the model to scale.
