 Friends, I'm writing on behalf of my wife. Her father was a lifelong carpenter in Wilmington, both professionally and as a hobbyist. He passed away last August at age 91, leaving a workshop in the basement filled with woodworking equipment - large and small. He continued his small woodworking projects well into his 80s, so the equipment has not been dormant that long.

We'd like this equipment to not go to waste, and at this point my wife is in the process of trying to prepare the house to sell. (I should add that he built the house himself in 1955, and it's filled with beautiful woodwork. Sadly, the real estate barracudas are happy enough to paint over any of this beautiful work to make the house look like everything else on the market . . . )

I wanted to inquire if members of the guild might be interested in looking at any of his equipment. We're not looking to make lots of money, we just happen to have lots of specialized equipment on our hands and we're hoping to not just throw it out. For all I know, my wife may be willing to let some of it go at no charge.

I'm sorry I can't give much detail on the equipment,as I'm not a woodworker at all. Lots of circular saws and blades, sanders, at least one big piece that I think may be a bandsaw, and so on. (I spent a few days last October trying to clean up and organize the garage, but I knew very little about the equipment I was working with. )

My wife is presently in Wilmington for a few more days, then returning home to California for a couple weeks. She's going back to Massachusetts around April 20.
