3D printing can be a saver when repairing old machines. The brake lever on my table saw fence broke this past weekend. The OEM part was no longer available for my decades old machine. Sure I could buy a new, fancier fence, but I was able to download a model, print the needed part in a few hours, and be back in action the same day.
The main downside? - no excuse to upgrade to a fancier machine.
