    Hi Everyone,

In my six+? years of being in the guild, I heard tell of a banner used for EMGW club activities.  I've never laid eyes on it, and don't know who was the keeper of said banner.  Does one exist or is it mere legend.

We could have used one today at the Walpole Woodcraft Tool Swap.  There is another Tool Swap at the Woburn Woodcraft Next Saturday the 25th.  If the legend is real, It would be great to use it next week.

    Can this mystery be resolved?

BTW - There was great interest and a lot of encounters at our table today!

(Disclaimer: Not talking about the carved EMGW plaque with the shell Dan Faia carved.  VP Mike B. has that one and we used it today.  Cool, but cryptic to the public.)

I know that I had it several years ago. I vaguely recall finding it in my shop and passing it on to someone, but I may have dreamed that. I have spent a couple of hours scouring my shop and storage areas without success. Ken, do yu remember getting it from me?

The last time I definitely saw the banner was when we had a booth and display at  the September 2019 Sherborn Town Forest event.  When I became president, Tim gave me the carved sign but couldn't locate the banner, although a year or so later, I thought he said he had found it...?    If it's not around, we should get another made as we're planning more public events. Very simple, maybe 3'x5', with our name logo and website address:

We had the banner when we participated in the dedication cabinet shop at Old Sturbridge Village, and members showed off our work and did some demos. The date was October 2021, and Mike Bossin posed with a mystery celebrity (NORM!).

I don't know what happened to the banner after that.

Ah hah, so Norm took it!

FYI, I went through all of the guild's videos since Sturbridge and could find no evidence of the banner, so perhaps whoever packed up the Sturbridge show, might know of the whereabouts of the banner?
