Does anyone have a source for some live edge slabs? looking for 8/4 or thicker about 8 feet long ideally deep enough for a desktop but i can glue up if needed. north american species

Check out Irion Lumber in PA. They ship via UPS freight and have great pictures of the slabs online. www.irionlumber.com
There are always slabs for sale on Craigslist. The quality varies of course. Some are quite good.

Try wolftreewood.com I know the owner Sean Harrington and his shop is in Dracut.
He has some amazing slabs and they are all kiln dried.
Mike: you should check out facebook marketplace where you will find multiple vendors selling slabs of all species and sizes; especially walnut. I have been buying slabs on facebook for a while with no problems; let me know if you need help; you can set your location so you won't have to travel too far;
