January Guild Meeting - Mary May on Carving the Acanthus Leaf

Mary May’s presentation will focus on Carving the Acanthus Leaf; a topic in which she is well versed having written a book by that name. She will discuss how the acanthus leaf is used in architecture and furniture and will show how to draw the leaf using both geometric techniques and freehand. She will also demonstrate how to carve the details in an acanthus leaf.
