Turning presentations typically emphasize bowl turning which is fun but not really relevant to furniture builders. Mickey Callahan's presentation will stress spindle turning which is what you need to know to make turned legs, columns, knobs, finials and other embellishments. Mickey will cover all aspects of turning from tool selection and sharpening to finishing pieces on the lathe and, of course, safety.
