what kind of help does it need?

if it need re-toothing send it out to be done.

I'm decent at sharpening, but don't do it enough to be fast.

It’s 30” long and needs a pro.  No broken teeth but poorly sharpened in the past.  Who would you recommend?

Boston Saw and Knife is out of business.  They sold their list to a place in Hudson to which I brought a couple circular saw blades.  They did a nice job at reasonable prices.

I'd prefer to get a handsaw sharpened by hand.  There's a man in the Providence area that does it...

A while back I remember seeing something in Woodcraft in Walpole.  They had/have a guy who will hand sharpen hand saws.  I don't recall a name.

The gentleman's name is Matt Cianci, and he is from Rhode Island. His website is www.thesawwright.com.  I took his day long beginner class.  I cannot recommend it highly enough.  Miter saws are the most expensive to sharpen due to the length and ppi.  He also usually has a wait list.

Thank you, Glenn.  That is the gentleman I'm looking for.  We spoke some time ago and tthe price for a miter saw was $75.00 as I recall.
