A resource came to my attention from EMGW member and master woodworker Steve McKenna, who has contributed several Featured Pieces of the Month on this website. The resource, located in Lexington, could be of interest to EMGW members who have limited workshop space, limited set of tools, or would like to have use of upgraded tools.
To take advantage of this resource one must join LexArt and Lexington Woodworkers Guild each as a member. LexArt is an umbrella organization that houses and maintains several art forms/guilds, including woodworking, each in separate locations at 130 Waltham St., Lexington. The Lexington Woodworker’s Guild occupies one of those spaces by staging a comprehensive, well-lit (LED tubes) workshop (tools listed below) for its members. Membership to LexArt is $260/yr., and membership in LWG is $360/yr. Together this gives its members full use of the workshop 24/7. Lexington residency is not required.
