Inspired by Andrew Davis and his latest post regarding tool reviews on the web I thought I’d post this opportunity to aid a Ukrainian carving tool manufacturer Stryi
i waited until I received my carving tools before posting here but checked the site and they were offering them at 30% off retail as a way to support Ukraine.

while I have yet to do substantial carving with them, they feel good, seem to be made from decent tool steel and with minor honing are very sharp. I find it humorous that my first use of the tools was cleaning up a carving I did at Woodcraft during a CNC workshop using an X Carve.
So, as Andrew encouraged, perhaps someone can post a review of CNC machines and their applicability for carving?
