If you ever needed a glue with a 25 minute open time or a glue that will never impact a finish or a glue that lets you join boards without using clamps or a glue that lets you veneer without a veneer press or cauls, you might be interested in this presentation.

Many of us are intimidated by hide glue; the handling, mess, and $150 glue pots. Jim Russell will discuss what to consider when buying hide glue, reducing the $150 hot glue pot to about $20, glue preparation and storage tricks for maximum glue life and flexible use, and how to make and use your own liquid hide glue. Jim will then demonstrate rub joints and hammer veneering including reversing (disassembling) it when things go wrong.
